I was at another shop getting brake work done after sitting at the other place for 4 hours they told me they didn’t have the parts, I was leaving to go out of town so I needed them done, I left and called Churn after seeing them on Facebook, I spoke with Jocelyn (super sweet) she said they were completely booked for the day but let her see what she could do, Mike called me back 3 mins later and told me to stop by to see what work I needed done. By the time I got there they had ordered my parts, took me home and did ALL the work brakes, rotors, brake sensor AND oil change (I didn’t go in for an oil change but I mentioned that I needed one and he got it done) that night!! The shop is modern, clean, good snacks, coffee. THIS is my shop for Maintenance and repairs! My truck is foreign and can get pricey for repairs but Churn is affordable, reasonable and they know their stuff when it comes to cars. I’m so glad I found this place! Mike will get you right!

Honest Integrity Dependable is only a few words that could define CHURN. I have an Range Rover that many mechanics gave me the run around about and trying to charge me unreasonable price or even refuse to work on it. Not only did they work with me last minute just to accommodate my needs they were very honest, the price was reasonable and the work was also guaranteed! CHURN went above & beyond and I refuse to take my truck anywhere else Thank You CHURN !

Owner was very friendly and polite! I was riding around with my undercar shield dragging and had no idea where to take it to get it off. My aunt had used Churn Automotive for some repairs on her vehicle and raved about how great of a job they did. I called to see if he had time to take a look at my car and he told me to come on by. He refused to let me pay for a 5 minute job! I will definitely use his business as needed in the future!

About
Hi, I'm Mike, owner of Churn Automotive Mobile Services. For me, automotive repair has never been just about fixing vehicles—it's about helping people make informed decisions and protecting them from costly mistakes. My mechanical background began in the U.S. Navy, where I worked on H-46 helicopter engines as an aircraft mechanic. The discipline, troubleshooting process, and attention to detail I learned there still guide how I approach every vehicle today. Over the past 36 years, I've worn nearly every hat in the automotive industry. I've worked in dealership sales, managed used car operations, owned and operated a repair shop, ran an independent car lot, rebuilt and sold vehicles, and performed repairs ranging from routine maintenance to engine replacements, suspension work, cosmetic repairs, and vehicle inspections. Because I've worked on both sides of the automotive business, I understand something many technicians don't: customers often aren't just looking for a repair—they're looking for someone they can trust. One of the biggest frustrations I see is people spending hundreds of dollars on diagnostics only to learn they have a relatively simple issue, or being quoted thousands of dollars for repairs they may not actually need. I've met countless vehicle owners who leave a car sitting because they're afraid of making the wrong decision or can't afford another expensive opinion. That's where I believe I provide the most value. My approach is simple: • Diagnose before replacing parts • Explain the problem in plain language • Provide photos and documentation whenever possible • Never recommend repairs I wouldn't perform on my own family's vehicle • Never accept a job I'm not confident I can complete properly I hold ASE certifications in Engine Repair (A1), Suspension & Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5), and have completed manufacturer training with Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, and Nissan. I am insured and stand behind my work. Whether you need a second opinion, a brake inspection, suspension diagnosis, pre-purchase inspection, or help figuring out what that warning light actually means, my goal is to give you honest information and quality service—not pressure. I proudly serve customers throughout Hampton Roads and am currently building the foundation for what I hope will become another full-service repair facility in the future. Until then, I'll continue doing what I've always enjoyed most: helping people understand their vehicles, avoid unnecessary expenses, and get safely back on the road.
